Avengers: Age of Ultron

Movie Rating: Hela Khamarou

In search of some well-deserved R&R, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) creates a program charged with maintaining peace: Ultron. But the artificial intelligence in the software rebels and decides to eliminate what it thinks is mankind’s greatest threat: the Avengers. Helped by unexpected allies, the group of heroes fights to survive. But most of all, the Avengers will have to prove they are really united, even when things get tough.

This long-awaited sequel, again directed by Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Avengers) surpasses the audience’s expectations. Fans will be satisfied and new viewers will also be entertained, because Avengers: Age of Ultron skillfully mixes humor, tension, emotions, breathtaking action and in-depth characters. All of Marvel’s heroes are back, with a few new additions: the twins Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who spice things up for Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner). Adding to the extravaganza are spectacular battles held cool settings like Russia’s Sokovia forest and the streets of New York, making this sequel sure to top even the original: 2012’s Avengers took in an amazing $1.5 billion in box office receipts, making it the 3rd most profitable movie in the world. With such a great mix, Avengers: Age of Ultron has a great chance of doing even better…

I am not a great admirer of Marvel movies, but some of them are entertaining. This one was for me simply boring.
