Inferno
Robert Langdon wakes up in a Florence hospital. Injured, unable to remember the past 48 hours, assailed by visions of the Apocalypse, he is pursued by the authorities and several people trying to kill him. With the help of Sienna, a doctor who is also passionate about history, he tries to gather valuable clues to a puzzle that threatens mankind...
Are there really people who were waiting for the return of Robert Langdon, the hero of Dan Brown's books that had its heyday with The Da Vinci Code in 2006? The sequel Angels & Demons got much less public attention in 2009, and Inferno should continue the downward spiral. Taking the amusing formula of pseudo-historical investigation to underground palaces, old books and Italian paintings, Ron Howard packages a boring, outdated thriller with repetitive chases, no surprises and a plot too obvious to be interesting. The result is a formulaic, simplistic and outdated adventure with a bit of lightweight charm. Felicity Jones and Sidse Babett Knudsen offer some energetic eye candy and the wily Tom Hanks makes Inferno at least a bit entertaining and not totally useless.

Grottenschlecht. Show more
