In the region where Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana connect, the mountain climbers Stefan Glowacz, Holger Heuber and Kurt Albert take on the practically vertical cliff face of Mount Roraima. But the climb isn't the only thing that is challenging: the journey to the mountain is an adventure in itself. Over several days, the climbers fight their way alone through the jungle. Flying to the base of the mountain is out of the question. The mountain and its environment must be experienced and absorbed.

Jäger des Augenblicks is a remarkable documentary that forgoes bombastic staging while thriving on amazing images and interesting people. It tells a story of both extreme athletes and extreme filmmaking: capturing the images was a challenge that made tremendous demands on the film team.
